Ambassador Thomas R. Pickering will assess our relationship with Russia and highlight options for future diplomacy.
Where should we be working more productively toward common interests such as non-proliferation? Where should we stake out clear policies to limit aggressive Russian behavior toward its neighbors?
Ambassador Pickering is currently Vice Chairman of Hills & Company, International Consultants. He retired in 2001 as the Under Secretary of State for Political Affairs capping an outstanding career at the State Department including ambassadorships to the Russian Federation, India, Israel, El Salvador, Nigeria and Jordan. He also served as U.S. Ambassador to the United Nations and retired with the rank of Career Ambassador.
