Supporting CIR
There are many ways to support the mission of CIR:
-
Become a member. Your basic membership entitles you to newsletters, the CIRcular, our quarterly newsletter, as well as discounted admission to most events.
- Consider membership at a higher level. While providing greater support to CIR, the higher membership levels provide benefits to you such as preferred seating at events, free passes to luncheons and dinners and invitations to private receptions with speakers.
- Donate to the General Fund. CIR activities are only limited by our ability to underwrite them. Your donation might allow us to sponsor a big-name speaker, increase our outreach efforts or expand our activities.
- Volunteer. There are many opportunities to become more involved. To see a list of volunteer possibilities, please visit the Volunteer page under Membership.
- Participate! Whether you voice your opinion during World Affairs luncheons or dinners, take a more active role at lectures or host a foreign visitor for dinner in your home, there are many ways in which to participate.
- Contribute to the Student Outreach Activity. Your contributions allow us to provide free admission to students and their teachers to World Affairs Discussion Luncheons allowing the students to learn more about world affairs and us to enjoy the student’s fresh views of the world.
- Donate to the Gordon Winkler Memorial Fund. Established in honor of former CIR president Gordon Winkler, who dedicated time, energy and ideas before his untimely death in 2007, the Winkler Fund monies are exclusively earmarked for student activities. It provides scholarships, all-student luncheons and discussions and other activities to high school and college students in the community.
We look forward to your involvement!
